Pre – Valentine’s Day Giveaway

Hello everyone! Because of the overwhelming response I got during my Christmas giveaway, I decided to organize another one this month. I thought long and hard about what the theme should be and in the end, I figured out that since Valentine’s Day is coming up next month, I should help you all prepare for that event with a Pre – Valentine’s Day giveaway.

Now for me, Valentine’s Day is not just for lovers or couples. It’s more about love and related to that, feeling good about oneself. Putting on some makeup helps me feel good about myself because it enhances my features so I’m confident that I have my best face on. In relation to this, I’m giving away makeup from Human Heart Nature this month.

Human Heart Nature is a Filipino social enterprise that believes in producing world-class products that are Pro Philippines, Pro Poor, and Pro Environment. Read more about them here.

First, the winner will get Human Heart Nature’s best selling blusher in Pink Quartz. It’s a soft, romantic pink plush with a bit of shimmer in it.

To add to the loot, I’m also throwing in this Velvet Passion eye shadow palette in Sweet Innocence. Isn’t the packaging just gorgeous?

The colors are again very soft and subtle – perfect for a romantic Valentine’s look! I love all the colors here actually so don’t worry, I bought my own palette and used it to make that swatch! Haha

Recently, I got this bow from the Port 88 bazaar. I thought it was really cute and for a romantic look, this would add a dainty, girl touch. If you’re not the type to wear something like this though, you can give this as a gift to a friend who’d love it as much as I do. I have a pink version of this. :)

Everyone in the Philippines – male or female – is welcome to join! I’m closing this giveaway on February 10 to make sure that you get these products before Valentine’s.

Here’s how to join:

1. Leave a comment on this blog telling me what you plan to do on Valentine’s day.

2. Like my Facebook page.

3. Enter your entries on the Raffle Copter application labeled as “Valentine’s Giveaway” tab on the Facebook page.

Easy, right? :)

  2. Hello! I honestly don’t know what I’m doing for Valentine’s Day. My husband will have to work until 8 or 9 p.m., so a special Valentine’s date won’t be happening for me. I may surprise him, though, with dinner when he gets home.

i’m planning to ask my dada to go out and watch a movie and dine out. since we have a limited budget, we might just eat in a fastfood. that is okay, since the most important thing is to spend the special day with him.

Hi Mich! This is such a cool giveaway and super cute mechanics ha! Hehehe. My boyfriend and I will be celebrating our 7th anniversary this coming Valentines day! I really am excited for what he has in store for us because he usually surprises me with a fun itinerary for the day. I’m really hoping he plans a day trip somewhere near, like Tagaytay or Batangas, perhaps. I’m also preparing something (a personalized gift) for him and I really hope he likes it. Heehee. :)

Ahem.. since I have no special someone I’ll celebrate Valentines day with my family maybe we could go out or cook some dishes and telling to each other “iLOVEyou” though my parent’s wedding anniversary is on february 15 and also I know that the word “iLOVEyou” is not only for people who have boyfriend/girlfriend/hubbies, right? hehe :) .

    • I like making personalized gifts. :) One time I gave someone a gift basket of all the things he enjoyed – mostly food! Maybe you can do one of his favorite things. Also you can try fishing for information about the things that he’s been wanting to have for ages or things that he needs , e.g. new work shoes, a toy for his collection if he has one, etc. :)

  34. All my life, I’ve always seen Valentine’s Day to be a day that’s supposed to make me happy and loved. I have recently realized though that people we love should know that we love them—that we have to say it verbally, show it through our actions, and honor it with our commitment. With that, I plan to spend Valentine’s this year with the people I love the most—my family and my (single) friends because they deserve to be shown love just like how Jesus showed His love for me.

  35. Valentines Day is not just about loving couples. It is also about making your heart feel happy whether you have a boyfriend or not. Me, I will make my heart happy this coming Valentines by one– I will reconcile with my two bestfriends whom I fought with last year 2011. I will try to send them gifts as a sign of reconciliation and try to talk to them. Two, I will treat myself. I will try to enjoy that day by just doing what I love to do like watching a movie. And three, I will have dinner with my family. Because of our busy schedules, we hardly eat together as a family. That is why at least for one day, we can eat together. This Valentines, I will make my heart happy by letting go of my grudges and make someone else happy. :)

Maybe I’ll just do the things we used to enjoy together like having a massage offered by the blind near our place, eating ice cream at ministop, and trying our luck in lotto. Yes, he is physically absent but in my heart, he’s always with me. :)

On Valentine’s Day, I’d probably be seen with my college girl friends having food trip around the four streets that surrounds our university and maybe afterwards have karaoke night. Singfest with my girls, one of the most fun things to do to relieve our stress from school works.

  143. Since I’m apparently still single and would remain as such until this Valentine’s, I’ll be spending Feb 14 all by myself. I’m not sure if I have a class on that day but I might spend my afternoon or evening with a few close friends (who are also not taken) talking about films, chatting, or perhaps doing what we enjoy the most, spotting cute guys (haha). But right now, I’m thinking of spending the day watching a romance film and surfing the net and I’m just hoping I won’t allow myself to wallow in self pity.
